News and Updates / Re: Team Updates
« Last post by Robert Gray on June 08, 2012, 01:00:37 am »
Hi,  I'm really happy/excited/glad/proud (pick one :)) to join the Team.  I hope I can both offer some good advice to others, as well as get schooled by others.  Basically it's all about growing as a sim racer and a community member :)

I'll wait for Hunter to do an interview rather than giving my history and details now :)

Stoked (as we Australians say) to be on-board :)

Hello everyone. I would like to welcome you to our newest team member, Robert Gray.
He is amazingly fast and is a very friendly person, which makes him perfect for the team.

I will start up driver interviews sometime this week or next week so you can get to know our drivers a little bit better.

Im running the clubsport pedals too.  They are great but i've found the accellerator pedal sometimes gets stuck at varying levels.  Is remedied by blowing into the small box thingo on the side.  I had it happn to me two races ago and weny from 2nd to finish 5th, as i was helpless down the straights.  It started about a week after i got my pedals, about 6 months ago.

Real Life / Formula 1 at Monaco
« Last post by Hunter Manley on May 27, 2012, 04:15:29 am »
It is time for racing's biggest weekend starting off with the Formula 1 race at Monaco.

Michael Schumacher sets the pole time at 1:14.301 with his Mercedes, but has to give it up due to a 5-place grid penalty for the collision with B. Senna at the Spanish grand prix. Mark Webber inherits the pole position followed by Nico Rosberg starting 2nd.

The Fanatec Clubsport (CSR) Pedals are absolutely perfect. They have an extremely comfortable feel to them and are perfect if you do not want to buy pedals for over $100. The starting price for these pedals are $79.99 and can be shipped anywhere around the world.

Features:
Very solid construction based on the design of the CSR Elite Pedals.
Extra long pedals for more realism and comfort
All 3 pedals can be moved horizontally to adjust the position between the pedals
Also able to adjust spring tension and pedal angle
First pedal set to offer optional inversion kit. Owners can invert all or just the pedals they prefer to better fit their driving style.
Ability to easily remove pedals from base and install in cockpits or stands
Backward compatible with Fanatec Porsche 911 wheels (except original 911 Turbo)

News and Updates / New iRacing FW31 Updates [May 7th, 2012]
« Last post by Hunter Manley on May 08, 2012, 10:44:24 pm »
Hello everyone. I am here to talk about the new iRacing FW31 updates released on May 7th, 2012.

To see all the features, click here.

My Opinions:
I honestly think iRacing is making the car more realistic by release these updates. Some people are going to hate it because, yes, it does make you run a bit slower (At Spa, around 1-2 seconds slower) but I think we will just need to tweak our setups to make it feel right agian. The reason people are hating all the updates is because they are so used to using the High downforce setups before they updated the tires and everything, and that they are used to holding most of the corners pretty much wide open. But the problem is, is that they are not giving enough time to get used to the newer tire model.

My Likes:
Brings it closer to real life status
Made the aerodynamics closer to the real thing
Better hand models
Even less fuel (6kg to 3kg)
Fixed brake glow

My Dislikes:
Slower laptimes
More oversteer
Major updates to setups
